“Military” watch line

The first “military” watches were created in 1880. They were designed for German officers and manufactured in best Swiss workshops. The time measuring devices for military men were characterized by complicated technical parameters and high performance provided by exact maintenance of technological watchmaking processes.  Strong and reliable time counters, characterized by water and magnetic action resistance, became irreplaceable companions of both military and civil men. They become necessary in extreme conditions. The need for accurate and reliable military watches provided the base for creation of “military” line with its individual style and visual originality. The specific feature of military watches is massive cases and minimalistic dials, providing the indications easy reading. The Florentine watch company “Anonimo”, going with the times, issued the “Military” watch line. It was designed by the ex-president of CEO of Officine Panerai Dino Zei, who played a crucial role in the development of military watch industry in Italy. The collaboration of Anonimo with Dino Zei was promoted by historical events: in 1997 the famous watch company “Officine Panerai” joined “Richemont Group”, its headquarters were moved to Switzerland, and many talented and experienced watchmakers were left in Italy. The professional team of Dino Zei knew all the ins and outs of making watches for seamen, as Officine Panerai had been the official supplier of measuring devices for the Navy department of Italian Ministry of Defense for many years. A long work experience of Dino Zei in the watch industry provided Anonimo with opportunity to open the new borders in researches and developments.
All “Military” watch cases are made from steel AISI 316L, containing 20-27% of chrome and low percentage of carbon, the leather straps are treated with the patented Kodiak system, providing resistance to the salt sea water.
The Crown Vanishing Locking Device was developed specially for the “military” watches, which effectively protects the movement from moisture penetration thanks to unusual position of crown. The crown is at the joint of case and strap. All cases are polished and sandblasted; the frontal glasses are made of sapphire crystal. The number indexes and central hands are covered with luminescent treatment, providing indications easy readiness in full darkness.
The “Militare Crono” series were released in a limited number of 300 pieces. The model is based on manufacture movement 2035. The caliber was designed together by engineers of Swiss company “Dubois Depraz SA”, specialized in the manufacture of watch calibers, chronographs and complications.

The “Militare Automatico” watches are provided with caliber Anonimo 03.1, based on the movement ETA-Valijoux 7750 13 ½. The distinctive feature of this model is strap, made of water-repellent material DINEX with LORICA lining.

The “Firenze Dual Time” model is provided with two movements: one counts the local time, another – the Greenwich time. The local time indicator is at “6” hours, and the dual time indicator – at “12” hours.

The “Zulu Time” watches are provided with caliber 9035, based on the movement ETA 2892A2.

The “Militare Crono Flyback” watches are provided with automatic movement Dubois Depraz 42035. The watches are equipped with fly-back function, which allows resetting the chronograph simultaneously with the new count start. Only one button push is used, unlike the standard chronograph with its double push.

The limited watch series of Militare were released in 300 pieces. The time counters are provided with the movement ETA UT6497-1.
