Timex’s Atelier GMT24 M1a references TW6A20600 and TW6A20700 introduce a red-and-blue 24-hour scale around a black enamel dial, at $1,450 on steel or $1,350 on rubber in the US. Announced on November 5, the update pairs that two-color ring with a red additional hand for reading a second time zone. The two references offer a choice of steel bracelet or black rubber strap.

Color around the enamel dial

The hour and minute hands remain separate from the GMT display, while a date window sits at three o’clock. Applied geometric markers interrupt the glossy black surface, with Swiss LumiNova filling the markers and hands. The enamel finish is produced by firing the dial at high temperature.

A raised, curved sapphire crystal covers the display and receives a triple antireflective coating. Open sections in the sculpted outer case expose a gunmetal-colored, ion-plated middle case. The crown screws down, and the case surfaces have a brushed finish.

Automatic winding and removable links

The Swiss-made movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses 28 jewels. Its seconds hand stops when setting the time. An exhibition caseback provides a view of the winding rotor and movement.

The bracelet uses links that can be removed without tools, alongside a butterfly deployant clasp. Quick-release spring bars attach it to the case. Timex specifies an adjustment range for wrists measuring 150–205 mm. The alternative NBR synthetic rubber strap has a black finish and keeps the same dial configuration. It closes with a deployant clasp and also uses quick-release spring bars.
