Spinnaker Dumas GMT Automatic Inkdial, series SP-5188, presents two $495 editions created with artist Ben Li, with production limited to 450 numbered watches per color. The official unveiling was scheduled for October 30, 2026, following Spinnaker’s October 28 profile of the British Chinese illustrator.

Ben Li’s drawings become dial details

Li began drawing watches during the UK lockdown in 2020, initially as a personal exercise to develop his illustration skills. Working under the name Inkdial, he uses ink and marker pens to build outlines, shadows and cross-hatched textures. Layered strokes of different densities give his drawings their shaded surfaces.

For the collaboration, that visual language extends across the dial and rubber strap. Ink Blue uses blue detailing, while Ink White combines a pale dial with a gold-colored GMT hand. Both carry an Ink-made inscription at six o’clock. The exhibition back reveals a rotor marked Paper Casing and Inkdial, another reference to Li’s work.

GMT hardware and November ordering

A bidirectional bezel provides a 24-hour scale for the additional time-zone hand. The case has a screw-down crown and a flat sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. The official technical illustration specifies rubber straps with matching drawn details.

Spinnaker’s purchase guide schedules the US online release for November 5 at 11:30 p.m. Eastern, corresponding to November 6 in Europe. Purchases are capped at one watch per color and two per customer. Six randomly selected boxes will contain cards signed and numbered by Li to mark Inkdial’s sixth anniversary.
