Farer Stratton II, identified as W-STR-BKS in its black suede configuration, introduces a laser-etched luminous moon above a natural Eisenkiesel dial at £1,895 in the UK. The model’s official product page was published on October 29, 2026. Farer specifies an initial batch of 100 watches, with additional batches planned for 2027.

A lunar disc made in Switzerland

Swiss specialist AJS Production makes the new moonphase disc. Its process uses precision lasers to micro-etch successive layers of paint and Super-LumiNova, creating a detailed lunar surface less than 6 mm across. The golden moon appears against a black, star-patterned background and remains luminous in darkness.

The dial is cut from Eisenkiesel, a quartz mineral crossed by iron-rich veins. These golden-brown lines vary from one piece of stone to another, so individual watches have different patterns. Applied numerals and baton markers use Lumicast, a ceramic and Super-LumiNova mixture. A white minute track surrounds the dial, and the date sits beneath the central hands.

A hand-wound movement behind sapphire

The cushion-shaped case has polished surfaces, a brushed bezel chamfer and Farer’s grain-twist decoration on its flanks. A curved sapphire crystal covers the dial, while a second sapphire window exposes the decorated movement. Blue screws and a bridge carrying Farer’s embossed pattern are visible from the back.

The movement supports a quick-set date and hacking seconds, which stop during time setting. The seconds hand has a gold Farer arrow at its tip. Strap choices include black, brown and gray suede, alongside St. Venere and Granolo leather options. Farer lists December 21 for shipping.
