Nomos Club 38: The Club Grows to 38.5 mm and Gets a Ruthenium Dial

Nomos Glashütte has introduced the Club 38, a larger version of its sporty everyday watch. For almost 20 years the Club was made in a 36 mm case; the new model measures 38.5 mm and joins the collection alongside the smaller version rather than replacing it. Two dials are available: the classic silvery white (ref. 769) and a new dark grey ruthenium (ref. 770).
Bigger, but still slim
Despite the larger diameter, the case stays thin: 8.4 mm, or 8.5 mm with a sapphire caseback, and 46.7 mm from lug to lug. It is made of polished stainless steel, covered by a domed sapphire crystal and water resistant to 100 m.
The new Ruthenium version has a ruthenium-plated dial, rhodium-plated hands, white Super-LumiNova and Arabic numerals outlined in yellow. The silvery-white version keeps blackened hands and red luminous details. Both have a snailed small seconds sub-dial.
In-house movement
The watch is powered by Nomos' own hand-wound calibre DUW 4001, with the Nomos Swing System escapement and a power reserve of 53 hours.
