Nomadic Watches has introduced the Dána 141, a hand-wound dress watch designed and assembled in Belfast with a Swiss La Joux-Perret movement. The new model departs from the rounded sports cases associated with the Northern Irish brand, using an angular rectangular case measuring 28 mm wide and 8.3 mm thick. The British price is listed at £1,250.

A rectangle based on a geometric proportion

The name Dána references the Irish word for bold, while 141 refers to the approximate ratio 1:1.41. That proportion, related to the diagonal of a square, informs the case design. The Dána measures 39.5 mm from lug to lug, has a 20 mm lug width and combines brushed steel surfaces with polished facets.

Nomadic specifies a 316L stainless-steel case and a raised, chamfered octagonal sapphire crystal. The black dial uses a pinstriped centre framed by an octagonal cartouche. Hour markers sit near the perimeter, with the hands arranged above the central decoration. The display is deliberately limited to hours and minutes, without a date window or seconds hand.

The reference photographed here uses the Black Velvet dial and black leather strap. Other dial choices are Moonlight White and Emerald Green. The range also offers leather, suede and a Milanese steel mesh bracelet, giving the same rectangular case several different configurations.

Swiss hand-wound La Joux-Perret movement

Behind the exhibition case back is the manually wound La Joux-Perret D101 calibre. Nomadic specifies a 50-hour power reserve, 18 jewels and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. The movement is wound through the crown rather than by a rotor, while the two-hand dial keeps its display separate from the mechanism's visible construction through the back.

Water resistance is rated to 30 metres. The Dána is presented as a dress-watch design rather than a diver or field watch.

Dial options, price and the 2026 allocation

The Dána 141 was introduced at the end of October 2026 with the following published characteristics:

  • Case: 316L stainless steel, 28 × 39.5 × 8.3 mm.
  • Movement: La Joux-Perret D101, manual winding, 50-hour reserve.
  • Dial: Black Velvet, Moonlight White or Emerald Green.
  • Functions: hours and minutes.
  • Crystal: raised octagonal sapphire; exhibition case back.
  • Water resistance: 30 m.
  • UK price: £1,250.

Nomadic has indicated that 200 Dána watches will be available during 2026. That figure describes the year's planned availability, not a permanently capped limited edition. The brand continues to use Belfast as both a manufacturing reference and a source of design ideas, with the Dána marking its move into compact manually wound dress watches.
