Three F.P. Journe Watches Top $1 Million at Antiquorum New York

F.P. Journe dominated Antiquorum's Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces sale in New York on 18 October 2026. Three of the independent Geneva brand's watches sold for more than $1 million each, and the top lot, a platinum Centigraphe Souverain, reached $1,670,000 including buyer's premium. According to Haute Time, the whole sale totalled $14,580,812, with F.P. Journe lots accounting for about 45% of it.
The three million-dollar lots
The highest price went to lot 155, a 2011 Centigraphe Souverain in platinum with a salmon dial. The chronograph, which measures elapsed time to a hundredth of a second, was estimated at $600,000–1,000,000 and sold for $1,670,000, about two thirds above its high estimate.
Lot 156, a 2022 Tourbillon Vertical from the Black Series in platinum, followed at $1,550,000 against an estimate of $800,000–1,400,000. Lot 152, a 2012 Vagabondage II in 18k pink gold, made $1,310,000, well above its $500,000–800,000 estimate. The Vagabondage II, with its jumping digital hours, was produced in a limited series of 68 pieces.

Strong results beyond F.P. Journe
Other brands also performed well. A Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711/1R-001 in pink gold sold for $325,000, inside its estimate of $200,000–400,000. A vintage Rolex Daytona Ref. 6241 made $250,000 against a high estimate of $200,000, and a white-gold Rolex Daytona Ref. 116509 with a meteorite dial reached $106,250, more than double its $50,000 high estimate.
What the sale shows
The result continues a strong autumn for independent watchmaking at auction. Earlier in October, a Voutilainen 28Sport sold for more than $1 million at Phillips in New York. At Antiquorum, F.P. Journe's complicated watches in precious metals again attracted bids well above their estimates, confirming the brand's position as one of the most sought-after names on the secondary market.
The next major test comes in Geneva, where Phillips, Christie's and Sotheby's hold their November watch auctions.
