| Watch company Ulysse Nardin became one of the first manufactures which revived the production of minute repeater, the uniqueness of which is in moving figures - jaquemarts on the dial. Nowadays manufacture Ulysse Nardin stays the only one brand which decorates with jaquemarts the dials of watches with minute repeater. Movements with minute repeaters differ with complication. Not looking at rather simple substance of system, where enter barrel stroke, regulator, spiral, hammers and gongs, the main difficulty is in getting qualified and clear sounding. The sound of repeater is a result of gong vibration on which hammer strikes, and then increases with the help of watch case. Not looking at huge reaches of scientists and newest technologies, the production of minute repeater can't be automatic. Every part of repeater made by hands and simultaneously presents original musical instrument and watch movement. Every repeater adjusts absolutely individual, which provides the uniqueness of sound. Unique technique of minute repeaters is used in model of wristwatches Forgerons Minute Repeater (Ref. 716-61/E2). Black onyx dial of watches is decorated with animated figures of two smiths. Figures – jaquemarts produce sound of two different gongs every hour, half an hour and minutes. Flawless round case with diameter of 38.5 mm is made from 18-karat gold. 36 power reserve of this model is equipped with movement with self-winding caliber UN-71. The dial is covered with durable sapphire crystal. Black strap is made from crocodile leather. Water resistance is up to 30 meters. |
