| The Limited edition “Pagoda” series by Patek Philippe watch manufacture was launched in 1997 to commemorate the set up of the company's new factory in Geneva. The model's design was inspired by Patek Philippe's “Eiffel Tower” model, produced in last century's 50-ies. The women's Pagoda series consisted of 500 watches with yellow gold cases, 150 pieces with cases, made of rose gold and 100 watches, enclosed in white gold cases.
All 4 variants of the men's series, as well as the women's Pagoda watches, were supplied with the “Bulletin de Marche” certificates, issued by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (C.O.S.C.). Moreover, each piece of the model was accompanied by a Patek Philippe attestation certificate, proving that all instruments and coatings, used in the Pagoda series production had been destroyed. This guaranteed the fact, that the series was no longer produced. The box with the watch also contained a silver medal with the following engraving: “Henri Stern et Philippe Stern a tous nos amis, a l'occasion de l'inauguration de la nouvelle Manufacture Patek Philippe” (“Henri Stern, Philippe Stern and companions on the event of setting up the new Patek Philippe production”).
This women's model's rectangular-shaped case with concave sides and divergent lugs is made of white gold. The case back has the “Commemoration Pagoda 1997” engraving on it, the case, the movement and the dial also contain the name of the brand. The pink matte dial with 2 central hands – the minute and the seconds is supplied with numeric indexes, applied with diamonds. The women's Patek Philippe Ladies Pagoda wrist watch is based on a manually wound round nickel lever movement 16-250, assembled on 18 jewels and equipped with a Gyromax balance and a free sprung regulator. The caliber 16-250 has the Geneva Seal on it. The Swiss Patek Philippe Ladies Pagoda watch (Ref. 4900G) is supplied with natural leather straps with signature buckles, made of white gold, matching the case material, a Patek Philippe authenticity certificate, a C.O.S.C. chronometer certificate and a commemorative silver medal. The watch is water resistant up to 25 metres deep. |
