| Christophe Colomb Watch, released by Zenith Academy watch company is a limited edition of wristwatch a number of which is 25 items. Design, composition, complication and movement of Christophe Colomb Watch undoubtedly unique. Designers and watch-makers of Zenith watch company placed the movement into the best place of the case - under a small doom made of a sapphire crystal, which is a bit raised up of the crystal surface.
The movement of the watch is placed horizontally thanks to well-thought system of cardan shaft. The idea was taken from the sketches and engravings of 16 century. The construction of gyroscope was also taken as a model. It provides an ideal horizontal position of a caliber inside the case. Inside the gyroscope there are 166 elements which are responsible for a constant and accurate work of the watch.
Male watch model Christophe Colomb Watch is considered to be one of the most perfect among all watches created by Zenith. The uniqueness of the model is that watch-makers put a sapphire crystal sphere in a sapphire crystal surface. The spherical crystal envelops the gyroscope regulator. The image of this tool reminds Earth planet from afar.
The case is made of 18-carat white gold. Case diameter is 45mm. Back lid is made of transparent sapphire crystal through which the work of the movement can be observed. The dial is round, made of silver. Hour hand is made of blue steel. Small hand of seconds is placed at a separate dial at the position of “9 o'clock”, self-regulated gyroscopic module is placed at the position of “6 o'clock”. Watch model is made on a base of manual rewind caliber#8804. Power reserve is 50 hours. Power reserve indicator is at the position of “3 o'clock”. Male wristwatch Christophe Colomb is supplied with brown alligator genuine leather strap. The inside of the strap is made of a soft calfskin. The strap is supplied with 18carat white gold buckle. |
