| New wristwatch model is released by two famous representatives of Urwerk watch company: watch-maker Felix Baumgartner and designer Martin Fry. They presented a new limited edition of watch named Urwerk UR-110 ZrN Torpedo. It also has a second name Champagne Supernova. ZrN. Undoubtedly the name speaks for oneself and reflects that the model is like no other that has had been released before. For UR-110 ZrN Torpedo case making watch-makers used stainless steel L 316 coated with innovative material zirconium nitride (ZrN) which as applied on a case by sand blasting method. Zirconium nitride is a modern material which is used for timepiece's long life providing. Baumgartner and Fry used it for bezel coating. According to their point of view, durability of zirconium and also some objects covered with it can be measured only by cosmic years. A “magic” mixture composed of firm zirconium and serape-resistant and corrosion-resistant. In order to spoil an object covered with zirconium nitride a huge period of time is needed.
There are twelve items of male watch released in Urwerk UR-110 ZrN Torpedo limited edition. They attract attention by an unusual design of the dial and case. The dial is full of numerous indicators, figures and hands. Every time looking at the watch it is possible to find something new. Something that you have newer noticed looking at the watch before. In the middle of the dial there is a satellite complication, the modules of which are constantly turning around. An indicator “day-time/night-time” is placed a bit higher that a satellite one. To the left, at the bottom of the dial there is an indicator of “oil change” which displays watch power reserve level. The design of this indicator is taken from a car dash. It shows the time when watch model should be rewined. Hour marks are colored luminous-bright-yellow. It lets the owner to watch the time in any time of a day (day or night) in any light condition.
