| Wristwatch New Vintage 1969 (ref. 03.1969.469/21.C490), created by Swiss watch company ZENITH in 2009 is released in limited edition which is devoted to the memorable date of 40th Anniversary of El Primero movement. Today improved versions of watches are still considered to be the pieces of horology art.
El Primero is the first automatic integrated movement. Chronograph which is supplied with this movement is able to measure even very small periods of time with accuracy up to 1/10 second.
Watchmakers reached this thanks to the caliber which make 36 000vph. In order to make this complex caliber watch-makers need nine months of work. For making one element of a caliber a lot of watch-makers who have different specialization were attentively working. Eighteen kinds of metals are used for making all the elements of the caliber.
For 40 years El Primero movement has got a reputation of a standard and it was taken as a base for Zenith New Vintage 1969.
Despite rather small size of a case (40x41mm) this model of wristwatch posses a lot of useful functions, which are added to the main which is time identification. Every element of the movement is automatized and optimized in order to be accurate and reliable, taking less time.
Except chronograph function, Zenith New Vintage 1969 is supplied with tachymeter and a small aperture of date. El Primero movement power reserve is 50 hours. Steel case of Zenith New Vintage 1969 is waterproof (50 meters).
Watch-makers of ZENITH manufacture carried about the appearance of Anniversary chronograph, in order to make it as good outside as is is inside.
The design of New Vintage 1969 is inspired by original classic model of ZWNITH supplied with El Primero caliber.
Dial of watch released in this collection is made in black-and-white colours. The single bright place is hand of seconds, which is colored red, however, it does not spoil all the conception.
Strap of Zenith New Vintage 1969 is made of genuine alligator skin and coloured back. Clasp is made of stainless steel. This chronograph is released in limited edition.
