British watchmaker Christopher Ward has announced the release of the model Makaira Pro 500 Diver.
Makaira is a black marlin, a large saltwater fish of the family billfish (Istiophoridae). The lance-shaped upper jaw of the fish is shaped like a marlinspike. Hence, there is the name kind of fish marlin.
The genus marlins (Makaira) are of three types:
Black marlin ( Makaira indica);
Atlantic blue marlin (Makaira nigricans);
Indo-Pacific blue marlin (Makaira mazara).

The novelty is presented in a case of a 42 mm from stainless steel. The black dial features large Arabic numerals in white, blue and orange. The tips of the three central hands to indicate the hours, minutes and seconds are also painted in the same color as the indexes. Small date aperture is located at the circular index of 4 o’clock. At the 12 o'clock position is the logo of Christopher Ward, and over the 6 o'clock - the model name. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.

Makaira Pro 500 Diver is equipped with a Swiss automatic caliber Sellita SW200-1 on the 26 jewels, with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, power reserve - 38 hours.
