The company Maîtres du Temps has introduced a new multi-function Chapter Three Reveal watch, which fully embodied the consummate skill of watchmaking of Kari Voutilainen and Andreas Strehler.
Besides the basic functions the model shows the date, change of moon phases, the second time zone, day / night. The technically sophisticated watch, however, differs in a harmonious arrangement of the dial. On the primary disc central arrows indicate hours and minutes, the second’s hand is derived on a small dial (at the 8 o’clock position), the hand-type indicator of the date is set at the 2 o’clock position, the moon phase indicator is slightly lower in positions between the "4" and "5 " o’clock. As you can see, the dial has a very balanced structure. For a concise disc, not overloaded with hands and scales, Andreas Strehler had to work hard. Especially for this watch, he created a new system for the location of the second time zone and day / night. "Hidden" modules are activated when you press the button set in the crown. Button lowers two obscure panels on the dial and shows the hidden before cylindrical pointers.
Indicator of the day / night makes a complete revolution in 24 hours. On it are engraved the image of the sun and the night sky, symbolizing day and night. The pointer of the day / night is a kind of addition to the GMT function, so both indicators are opened simultaneously. Defining the local time, the owner of the watch discovers if it is a day or a night out there, looking at the evidence in the window located at 12 o’clock position.

At the 6 o’clock position is the indicator of the second "hidden" function - GMT, which is configured using a button located on the lateral surface of the case at the 9 o’clock position. The button form visually continues the shape of the case. As you can see, this watch is ideal not only from a technical point of view but also from an aesthetic.
All elements are made in strict classical style - a round case, laconically decorated dial with large Roman numerals, repeating the contour of the case, the original central hands, made of solid 18 carat gold.
The dark blue disc is in guilloche pattern as a diverging sunlight. On it exquisitely small dials stand out, decorated with Clous de Paris pattern.
The watch is designed on the basis of the manufacturing movement SHC03 with manual winding, anchor swing produced by Straumann and the Breguet spiral, which improves the isochronisms. The movement consists of 319 components, based on 39 jewels. The frequency of oscillation of the balance is 21 600 pc / h (3 Hz), power reserve - 36 hours. The mechanism is decorated Côtes de Genève pattern, carefully polished and beveled.
To create such a subtle mechanism with numerous additional pointers Kari Voutilainen and Andreas Strehler worked for more than three years.
