New American distributor for CX Swiss Military Watch™

Liestal, May 16, 2012. The Swiss watch manufacturer Montres Charmex S.A. today announced a distribution deal covering the Americas, Israel and Australia with Chiron Distribution, a newly established company based in Madison Avenue, New York.
Chiron Distribution will be supplying its retailers with models from the Swiss company’s two main brands: the CX Swiss Military Watch™ and the Charmex of Switzerland™ dress watches. The retail prices range from less than USD1,000 for quartz models to around USD5,000 for mechanical watches.
Chiron will be presenting both brands for the first time at the JCK in Las Vegas from May 31 to June 4, 2012 (Mandalay Bay Convention Center Watch Hall Booth #B2523).
Charmex, established in 1926 and based in Liestal near Basel in northern Switzerland, is now run by the third generation of its founding family, Frank Bürgin. More than 95% of its watches are exported and sold through a longstanding network of distributors and retail chains. The Charmex of Switzerland™ dress watches are popular in Russia and the Middle East, while the CX Swiss Military Watch™ are sold mainly in Germany, USA, Russia, Japan and the United Kingdom.

CX Swiss Military Watch™

The CX Swiss Military Watch™ holds the Guinness world record for water resistance, having been tested at pressures equivalent to a depth of 20,000 feet (6,000m). The Charmex of Switzerland™ models for men and women offer a vast choice of styles, both classic and contemporary.
Charmex S.A. also has a private label division, making bespoke watches for companies and wealthy individuals. This year the company gained the exclusive license to produce diving watches themed on the 1981 hit movie, Das Boot, a World War II submarine epic.
Chiron Distribution was founded in 2011 by Maurice Goldberger to distribute premium consumer luxuries. A professional team of around 20 persons operates out of the company’s showrooms in Madison Avenue. They pride themselves on their immediate response to retailers and 12-hour delivery. Retailers have access to the entire product range by intranet. Chiron Distribution is a separate entity to Chiron Inc., established in 1994 by Maurice
Goldberger as a channel for destocking high-value luxury products.
