The new model DB25 from the company De Bethune, submitted in May 2012, is a unique masterpiece of fine watchmaking, which displays a peculiar vision of the company’s time.
The round case of the novelty from the polished 18-karat white gold has a diameter of 40 mm and a thickness of 11 mm. The case is unique in its design: its lateral wall has 61 baguette-cut blue sapphires. The total weight of the gems is 5.29 carats. The front side of the case is equipped with a sapphire crystal, which set on the back side and allowing to watch for the perfect swing of the manufacturing automatic mechanism De Bethune DB2105. The perfect caliber, collected on the 27 jewels, provides a 6-day power reserve and the balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The functions of the mechanism include an analog display of hours, minutes and lunar phases. Three-dimensional pointer of the moon phases is placed in a circular aperture at the 12 o’clock position and is so accurate that it allows the error of just a day every 122 years.
