Perfection and elegance: Pierre Michel Golay Watches at WPHH 2012

The Swiss watch company Pierre Michel Golay has presented in the current exhibition WPHH 2012 its watches, equipped with manufactory calibers. The company’s movements abound with more than a dozen variations.
The line of wristwatches with elegant cases in diameter of 43 mm and 47 are based on a watch mechanism 2780 T Myst. CC2R PR with manual wound, two barrels and a function of the split-chronograph. The diameter of the mechanism is 34 mm, thickness - 7 mm. The visible "flying" tourbillon is built into the cage at the 6 o’clock position without any support. The balance is equipped with a Breguet hairspring and regulating screws. The caliber, collected on the 48 jewels, is composed of 498 parts and decorated with the luxurious finish Cotes de Geneve.
The mechanism has the capability to display hours and minutes. Chronological indicators are located on 12, 3 and 9 o'clock. Power reserve is set at position of 10:30. The buttons of the chronograph are placed on the case at the positions of 2 and 4 o’clock, and the split-chronograph button is assigned to the 9 o'clock position.
Calibre 2710 T QPRJLM, which is the basis for the next line of watches, is assembled by 38 jewels and consists of 419 parts. The diameter of the mechanism is 34 mm, thickness is 7.30 mm. The visible tourbillon is placed on ceramic ball bearings. The power reserve of the caliber is 60, the carrying frequency is of 18 000 vph. The caliber is equipped with the functions of indicating hours, minutes, day of week at 9 o’clock, month at 3 o’clock, and retrograde date at 12 o'clock, leap year and moon phases. The mechanism is perfectly trimmed and decorated in the style of Cotes de Geneve.
