The company De Bethune won Grand Prix «Aiguille d'Or» for the best watch of the year!
At November 19 at the Grand Théâtre de Geneva took place the 11th awards ceremony of Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (GPHG), which was attended by President of the Swiss Confederation Mrs. Micheline Calmy-Rey, as well as representatives from the Geneva authorities and 1500 prominent figures of the watch making world. This event has become a very important event in the calendar of watch industry, which brought together under one roof the most influential figures in the watch industry, who came from all over the world to participate in this ceremony. The ceremony was led by Simon de Pury and Natacha Wenger. An international jury of this 11th event, consisting of true professionals and experts, awarded the highest award - the Grand Prix «Aiguille d'Or» to the model DB28 by the company De Bethune for the best watch of the year. Established in 2001 under the auspices of the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix Fund, Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (GPHG) is intended to salute the most perfect watch among the variety of watch products and annually awards the best watch creation and the most important figures in the watch making world. Thus, this event contributes to the promotion and development of horology and its core values, namely innovation, which will be passed through the experience and commitment to excellence.

Like every year, viewers were also given the opportunity to choose, in their opinion, the best creations from the pre-selected 70 watches by the jury. The Audience Award was awarded based on votes of visitors, as well as Internet users, who voted for their favorite watch on the official site of the ceremony www.gphg.org.
