Sinn Watches

The German brand “Sinn” differs by its care and attention to the details which are so characteristic for the German watchmaking. The main feature of the watch design is the simplicity and the precision, the absence of any brag and decoration. The watches “Sinn” look like the scale of some measuring instrument: the functionality in its pure form, without any superfluity. For 50 years of the existence  the company almost has not changed the exterior design of its watches, more concentrating on the technical part.

Translated from the German “sinn” means “sense, meaning, value”. This philosophy guided the creators of this movement. The assignment of  wrist watches starts with the precision of the movement work.
Since its foundation in 1961 the “Sinn” company has chosen as the main criterion for the quality of its products, the simplicity, the technological development and the high quality of the mechanical watches.

Sinn Military Chronograph

In 2006 the company “Sinn” produced the chronograph “Jubilaum” as a part of the  limited edition in 400 items. The release of the “Jubilaum” model was dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the “Sinn” company foundation. This model is equipped with the automatic movement and has the 42-hours power reserve indicator. According to the developers, the watches “Jubilaum” are anti-magnetic (non-magnetic) watches, that means that they are able to run with minimal deviation when exposed to a certain magnetic field. This is also the shock-resistant model, which is the example of the new technology usage: The argon gas is pumped into the watch case, that prevents the corrosion inside it. The watches are  water-resistant up to 300 meters. The case is made of titanium, has a size 41/15.8 mm. The case of the watches has the sapphire crystal treatment.

Sinn Chronograph 901 (Ref. 901.010)

In 2007 “Sinn” offered the model “The 757”, which is made in the strict black-white combination. Apparently “The 757” was supposed to be interesting for pilots and supporters of Boeing. The case diameter is 43 mm and the watches are water resistant up to 200 meters. The cost of this model is about 1,300 euros.

Sinn Pilot Chronograph 900

In the same year, the company “Sinn” offered the watches which are designed for pilots: “Skeleton Chronograph 2300”. They also were launched as a part of the limited edition in 25 items. As the movement the developers used the manual movement NOS caliber 23 on 17 stones. The frequency per hour is 18,000. The case, which is made  of the yellow 18K gold,  has two small dials: 60 seconds and 30 minutes. The case of “Skeleton Chronograph 2300” has the 38/11 mm size. Sapphire crystal treatment, water-resistance up to 30 meters.

Sinn Navigation Chronograph 903

For the fans of the urban landscape “Sinn” created the model “Skyline” with the dial from the porcelain with the transparent blue-colored image of Frankfurt. The front and the back glasses are made of sapphire crystal. The strap of “Skyline” is made of alligator, water-resistance is up to 100 meters. The case of “Skyline” is made of stainless steel, and equipped with the self-winding ETA 2892-A2 movement. The combination of blue and steel colors in these watches creates the feeling of the morning freshness in business Frankfurt.

In 2009 the company “Sinn” was creating the model for the races and as a result of this the “917 Rallye Destro Chronograph” model appeared. Designers “rotated” the movement by180 degrees, that created the illusion of the fixed minute hand.
In short, the watches from “Sinn” are designed for business and confident people who value simplicity and clarity.
