Revelation Watches

“Revelation” is one of the most innovative and exclusive Swiss watch brands. It is placed in Switzerland, in the city of Le Brassus. The company was founded on the 31st of January 2007 by 2 designers,  Anouk Danthe and Olivier Leu, who managed to make their dream come true – create a watch brand and produce original wrist watches. Danthe and Leu's designer's ideas were embodied in the charming Revelation watches, that managed to occupy their decent space in the watch market for a rather short period of time. The original models with the company's logo, reflecting its philosophy, became recognizable, thanks to the harmonious combination of multiple designer's elements. Revelation company's logo, reflecting its founders' ideas, consists of 2 oppositely-directed hands. One of them is pointing to the past, to the old watchmaking art traditions and the other one – to the future, full of new innovative technologies. Revelation watches combine both. Its proof is the watchmaking process. For example, the initial case production stage is performed with the help of a special computer program. This is a very unusual approach to watch cases' production, resembling a small car workshop. Only highest quality materials are picked for the production of Revelation watch cases, weighing 154 grams. Special attention is drawn to the cases' finishing, with all their parts executed by hand. At every stage of cases' production, they undergo quality tests, in order to eliminate any mistakes, even the smallest ones. Great attention is drawn to the rest of the parts' production as well.
As a result of watchmakers' and designers' meticulous work the “R01 Tourbillon Manège” model, executed in multiple variants: with a round case of white, rose, yellow or grey gold or titanium with black coating, was produced. The design of the dial, consisting of 2 parts, is rather original. The upper part is an ascending aperture with a sapphire crystal, supplied with Roman digits and marks in the form of lines and the company's logo. Under this dial there's another one – the inner dial with 2 hands and a mysterious movement. The hands, the hour marks and the buckle are made of the same material, as the case. The watch is supplemented by a leather strap. Revelation models' water resistance reaches 30 metres. All Revelation watches are equipped with the manufacture 44-jeweled “TM01” movements with manual rewind. It is the first movement, designed by Revelation company's craftsmen. The manufacture movement is anew type of complications with an exceptional spinning regulation system. The movement, installed in the center of the R01 Tourbillon Manège model, makes one rotation per minute. The peculiar escapement, designed specifically for this complication, enables it to make 21600 half-oscillations per hour and the barrels provide the 48-hour power reserve. The overall quantity of the Tourbillon Manège 01 movement is 300, thay are all finished and polished by hand. Some details are made of titanium, others – of brass with rhodium coating. Each movement wheel is installed in a way to provide minimum energy loss between the barrels and the escapement.
 The Swiss company presented its original models for the first time at the worldwide BaselWorld exhibition in 2011.
