Philippe Rosen & Cie, the German watch company, is one of those watch brands, that prefers quality to quantity. The company's motto proves this fact: “Less is more”. For the company's watchmakers, it is very important to create the models, distinguished by their high quality, functionality and original design. The time reading system must be as easy as possible, so the the design of the watch dial is a very important element. In addition to the watch design, the Philippe Rosen & Cie team aims at the high quality, also as high as possible. The watch company was founded by Volker Rosen, a person, who has always been interested in the mechanical watch development. Mr. Rosen was born on June, 8, in 1956, in the northern part of Germany, but was educated abroad. At the age of 10, he found watchmaking a very interesting deal. He paid a great attention to the every watch, that he noticed on somebody's wrist. Due to his great interest in horology, already in 1970s Rosen knew all the watch brands and was aware of all watch company's collections, presented in the market. It was natural, that he was eager to establish his own watch company and develop his own models. So, in 2003, Philippe Rosen & Cie's watch company was launched in Munich.
Volker Rosen realizes, that his watches are exclusive, because first of all they are characterized by the high quality. The company produces small series of all its watches.
Philippe Rosen & Cie's watches are presented by two great collections: Sportive and Elegant. 
Sportive collection includes the following models: Nightflight XL, Bomber I, Skyhawk, Skyliner, each of them is optionally available in the other variant. The watch cases, 42-44 mm in diameter and 11-12 mm thick, and bezels are produced from matt or polished stainless steel. The watch dials feature the Arabic numerals, three hands, treated with the luminescent coating, the date aperture at “3:00” or between “5:00” and “6:00”, on some models – at “12:00”. The dials are protected by the sapphire crystals. The watch back is transparent and covered with the crystal glass. The models are fitted with the black leather straps. The wrist watches are equipped with the automatic ETA 2824-2 or ETA 2834-2 movements. The water resistance is up to 50 meters (5 ATM). Some of these models are released in the limited edition of 50 items.
Elegant watch collection includes Artemis and Perseus III models. The cases, 40-42 mm in diameter and 11 mm thick, are produced from the polished stainless steel. The dark dials feature the Arabic and Roman numerals. Artemis watch features two hands and a small second hand at “9:00”,  Perseus III watch has three hands, the date aperture at “3:00” and the weekday aperture at “12:00”. The hands and indexes are treated with the luminescent coating, that helps to determine the time even in the dark. The dials are protected by the convex sapphire crystals. The models are fitted with the leather straps or stainless steel bracelets. Perseus III watch is equipped with the automatic ETA 2834-2 movement and released in the limited edition of 500 items, and  Artemis watch is equipped with the Swiss manual wound Unitas 6497 movement and released in the limited edition of 300 items. The water resistance of the watches from this collection is up to 50 meters.
