Montano Watches

Montano is a German watch brand producing exclusive models of watches. The company was established in 1997 as soon as its founder received the prize for the best design and craftsmanship in Würzburgin, Germany, in the same year. He had the idea of creation of unique and original models still in 1984. At first he bought 150 models and components. But to create models from these watches or to remake already finished models was senseless. For the founder the one thing was important that the Montano company's watches must be notable for inimitable design, high-quality materials and underline their owner individuality.
The first model launched by the Montano brand in 1999 is the MontanoVenus watch with a perpetual calendar. The company has had to work at this model many years. Design of the watch resembles the 50s' one. Nowadays it is not easy to find such unique model at the market. Looking at this watch one can say that the Montano founder's dream has come true. The exclusive model performed in classical style with symmetrical forms has a chronograph function. The round case, the crown and the chronographs buttons are made of 18 carat rose gold. The clear white dial has 18 carat rose gold hands and salient hour indexes in a form of the Arabic numerals and dots. A date aperture is located at 12 o'clock position, chronographs counters – at 3 and 9. The company's logo is under the date aperture. At 6 o'clock position there is a small window where a moonphase indicator is located. The dial is protected by a sapphire glass. The backcase is transparent and  covered with a sapphire glass allowing to enjoy unique operation of the in-house movement Venus 200 with a 36 hour power-reserve. The black strap made of alligator leather with a gold clasp attaches to the model.
The second model presented by the Montano company is the Montano Outback watch equipped with the movement Valjoux 61 19. Design of the model resembles one of wristwatches of the famous Panerai watch company. The massive round case has a 47 mm diameter and a 14 mm height and is made of stainless steel 316L consisting of 28 separated parts. The white silver dial has three hands and the big pear-shaped Arabic numerals made of blued steel. A minute indicator is located at 3 o'clock position, and a small second hand is at 9. The massive case perfectly matches the salient crown of a 9 mm diameter. The backcase is transparent and covered with a mineral glass allowing to watch operation of the 30 hour power-reserve movement 61 19 whose components are decorated and engraved by hand. The black or brown strap made of alligator leather attaches to the model.
The next model from the German watch company is the Montano Venus 170 chronograph equipped with the in-house manual winding movement Venus 170. Elegant design of the watch will leave cold none of connoisseurs of wristwatches. The 40 mm case is made of 935 silver or gold of different colours. The crown and buttons are also done of silver or gold. The flat white dial has three hands and are marked with the Arabic numerals. A 45-minute indicator is located within a small window at 12 o'clock position, and a small second hand is at 6. The arrangement of counters in such way is also the company's distinctive feature because chronograph counters are mainly at 3 and 9. 
The dial is protected by a bulging sapphire glass. The in-house 36 hour power-reserve movement Venus 170 consists of components decorated and guilloched by hand. The black strap made of alligator leather attaches to the model. This model is launched in the limited edition of 20 items.
All Montano timepieces are produced in the company's workshop. Unique watches may be performed from other materials at the client will and taste. Montano watches are available at the company's official website.
