Marathon Watches

The Weinsturm Watch company, afterwards became the watch brand Marathon, was established in 1904 and renamed in Wein Brothers. In 1939, Morris Wein, a talented descendant of Wein, settled down in Montreal, where the company started working under the name Marathon Watch and providing its durable and solid models of wristwatches at the territory of North America. From 1941 the brand collaborated with the Allied Forces and produced timepieces complicated with a chronograph function. Today the Marathon’s tradition continues with its fourth generation and manufactures high-quality innovative instruments measuring time, temperature and distance. The company widened its field of production and opened its subsidiary factories in Switzerland, Canada and the USA.

A date aperture is situated between 4 and 5 time indexes. Hands and hour markings are powered by Tritium. A sweep second hand with luminous triangle is powered by Maraglo. On the dial at 12 o'clock position there is an engraving in a form of a red maple leaf being the symbol of Canada. The dial is covered with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. A case is made of stainless steel. On the back case the company's logo is engraved. The model is designed on the basis of the automatic self-winding caliber ETA 2824. The model is water-resistant to 300 metres. A strap is made of a genuine rubber. An additional stainless steel bracelet is attached to the model.
