The short history of the Maitres du Temps company began with the story connected to other watch brand Roger Dubuis. Once Steven Holtzman, the founder of the Maitres du Temps company, was the official representative of the Roger Dubuis brand in the USA and the head of the Helveta Time Corp. However, after court examinations between the Helveta Time and the Roger Dubuis companies, the latter having a lot of problems, declared itself a bankrupt. As a result, a new watchmaking company appeared at the watch market. The name “Maitres du Temps” means “Lords of Time”. While establishing the brand, Steven had the aim to find the best masters and give them an opportunity to create the only single model. And he was very lucky! Instead of one he could find at once three masters of the watchmaking business: Roger Dubuis sooner worked at the Patek Philippe company, Christophe Claret and Peter Speake-Marin.
