The MIH watches are the result of collaboration of the talented watchmaker Ludwig Oechslin, the venerable watchmaker Paul Gerber and the designer Christian Gafner. MIH timepieces are intended for active people who love life in all its features. Sports watches are characterized by laconic design that, as much as possible, underline functional components. Time indexes and central hands, coated with luminescent substance, stand out on the “strict” black dial “edged” with the silvery round case. A month, a weekday and a date indicators located in the small window are at 3 o'clock position. A calender unit was developed by Ludwig Oechslin on the basis of the movement ETA-Valjoux of calibre 7750. The model has a 40 hour power-reserve. It also has a stopwatch which operates by pressing the button located on the side face of the case (2 o'clock position). The case of the model is made of titanium, the strap is of rubber. The watch is water-resistant to 100 metres.
In 2002 Ludwig Oechslin was chosen as a curator of the Musée International d’Horlogerie at La Chaux-de-Fonds (in an abridged form – MIH). Just then the idea to launch watches with the identical name was born. On the buckle of wristwatches this museum's geographical coordinates are marked. MIH watches are available at the company's official website to order. Part of sum cleared on watches goes to the museum's needs.
