Superleague Formula has announced, that they had signed an agreement with the English watchmakers from IWI company – a rather prestigious brand. The watch company will become the international car racing championship's official partner. IWI watches are the inspiration of the English watchmaker, Ian Walsh, who designs, finishes, checks, calibrates and tests every watch, produced by the company. The special watch series itself was designed to pay tribute to motorsports. The chronographs have classic, dials, recalling the images of Fangio and Moss.
Within the framework of the agreement, IWI watch brand will be presented on TV screens, billboards, railway transport posters and pace-cars. This is what Superleague Formula press center representative, Lisa Leyland, says about the watches: “The timepieces are extremely beautiful. I'm so excited by the diamonds around the dial, the attention to detail is fantastic! These are very spots-like, yet feminine and fasionable chronographs, I could wear them all day and night long.” The racing teams are really proud of having IWI watches logo on their race cars. This long-term partnership will be an exciting journey for both brands. “We are really glad to greet IWI company at the championship”, – Robyn Webb, the Formula's director says. “These watches really speak about motorsports and it's great, that we're cooperating with a young, dynamically developing company, ready to conquer the world”. Tim Nadin, IWI company's commercial director, adds: “We were greatly impressed by the fact, that Superleague Formula has grown into a big racing series. This is a young championship and its growth fully corresponds to our own growth and ambitions”. Now, when the racing series contracted international liabilities to participate in races at such key markets, as China, Brazil and Australia, there's a constantly growing cooperation between the partners. The absolute precision of time is the basis of everything pilots do on tracks and now IWI will count time at the world's biggest racing tracks.
