Haldimann Watches

Haldimann watch company was founded in 1964 in Bern (Switzerland). Beat Haldimann, a watchmaker, is a founder and a senior designer of this Swiss watch company. The company is developing exclusive watches, using only traditional equipment and instruments, that are far from modern smart devices. As a result, the founder Beat Haldimann was awarded a prize in "Ñraftsmanship-Ñreation” category  at the “Gaia Prize 2009”. It's worth saying that Gaia Prize was established in 1933 by the International Museum of Watchmaking and only the most outstanding watchmakers have been awarded such honorable prizes. Among them are the most skilled watchmakers who have greatly contributed to the development of the watch industry. H8 Sculptura central tourbillon watch can be a wonderful example of Haldimann's skill. The distinctive characteristic of this wrist watch is the absence of time indication on the watch dial, symbolizing the transience of time. No doubt, it hardly lookes like an ordinary watch, because there are no hands and indexes on the dial. The black dial is decorated only with a  tourbillon in the center of the dial.
Tourbillon is rather an expensive mechanism, and it is always very interesting to watch how it operates. The model is equipped with a hand wound H.Zen-H movement with a "flying" tourbillon and three barrels. The movement operates on the frequency of 18 000 vph. All these elements are engraved by hand. The "flying" tourbillon resembles a big star in the dark sky. The watch case is made of platinum, the sapphire crystal covers the dial. The strap is made of crocodile leather with a hand-made stitching. The water resistance of the watch is 30 meters (3 bar).
Beat Haldimann is aiming at the creation of exclusive watches, attracting an attention not only by their original design, but by the unique philosophy hidden in this design. That is why Haldimann has been creating wrist watches, that are beyond the bounds of traditional watchmaking. There are very few watch brands that have dared to take away hands and indexes from the watch dial. While creating the watches, Beat Haldimann prefers unconventional design and complicated movements.
The next Hadimann model is exclusive H1 Flying wrist watch. This is the watch equipped with H-Zen.A movement with the escapement produced by Hadimann company. Unlike the previous model, H1 Flying watch has time indication on the dial. However, the "flying" tourbillon is still on its place, in the center of the dial. Watch case is made of 18K rose, yellow or white gold or platinum. There are Roman numerals on the white, black or silver dial, covered with the domed glass. The strap is  made of crocodile leather and has a hand-made stitching. The model comes with a  golden buckle.
H2 Resonance watch is another exclusive model of Haldimann watch company. It is equipped with H-Zen.B movement, produced by Haldimal's watchmakers. A double tourbillon with engraving made by hand features this men's watch. The double tourbillon is housed in the center of the dial with Roman numerals and three hands (hours, minutes and seconds). The watch case is made of 18K white, yellow or rose gold or platinum. The domed sapphire crystal protects the black, silver or rhodium dial. The strap is made of genuine leather and has a hand-made stitching.
The watchmakers develop, assemble and manufacture each model in Haldimann's own workshop. This fact also confirms a high quality and accuracy of these watches. There is an engraved serial number on each Haldimann wrist watch.
