On August 28, 2009, Space Discovery's prototype was sent into space with the crew, called Mission STS-128. The watch company was encouraged by the successful results of that test  and soon released the first Halda Space Discovery watch.
Mechanical ModuleA case of the Space Module watch is made of TECAMAX material. This ultrastrong material was certified by NASA. The ultra-light TECAMAX material has a high insolating property, it holds its shape at extremely high temperature and during the contact with a chemical solution or acid. Each model of Space Module watch has a serial number. The watch case with the diameter of 45 mm and the thickness of 17.60 mm is covered with plexiglass for using the watch in space. Another variant is presented with the sapphire glass for using it on land. Moreover, if it's necessary, the company undertakes to putting plexiglass instead of the sapphire glass gratis.
The watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 bar). There is an engraved company's logo and the Earth picture on the case back. The model is based on the company's high-technology electronic movement. The movement is equipped with liquid crystal display with LED micro-light. An integrated 3-axis accelerator, measuring the gravitational force in three directions, also features this unique wrist watch.
Space Module watch shows double time. One more function of the watch is a calendar, that shows the current day, date, month, year and week. Space ModuleThe Earth time indicator allows you to watch the time in any part of the world. The memory of the mechanism contains all the countries and their time zones.
Mechanical Module watch is developed on the basis of company's automatic NOS movement. The movement operates at the frecuency of 36.000 vph. The watch hands are made in Cotes de Geneve style and covered by rhodium. Power reserve is 43 hours. The diameter of the stainless steel case is 45 mm. The case back and the dial is covered with a sapphire crystal with antiglare coating. The dial with slightly uplifted indixes consists of two discs. The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters (5 bar). The models were released in a limited edition of 128 items.
