De Grisogono Watches

Jewelery manufacturers, who decide to broaden their assortment by means of watch production, do not usually deserve being taken into serious consideration by professionals. That's the scenario of the 9-years' remoteness events, when de Grisogono jewelery brand first came out to the watch market and the company faced all possible preconceptions. But the critics quietened, when it became obvious, that the company's owner, Fawaz Gruosi was not going to confine himself to producing watches with quartz movements, decorated with jewels, but conversely was going to broaden the assortment by means of serious mechanical watches.

 Fawaz Gruosi is famous for his jewelery, with the highest quality jewels used in its production. It's obvious, that he makes the same high demands on his watches, that have to be technically extraordinary, must stand out of the common models range with their outlook and correspond with the highest standards of the modern watchmaking industry in all features.

 In 1995 de Grisogono brand was created. Its founder, Fawaz Gruosi, started his way with jewelery. In some time he started to take interest in watchmaking art. He opened his first boutique in 1997. At that time Fawaz created a collection of jewelery with black diamonds. Later the stone decorated sunglasses and mobile phones. The brand became well-known for a rather short period of time. The company's owner cooperated with Harry Winston and Bvlgary companies and created new masterpieces annually.

Thank so Gruozi, black watch movements, stingray leather straps and black diamonds became popular.
 From 2003 to 2004 the company's sales increased by 25% and the total number of its boutiques reached 114.
 Having conquered the precious stones market, he started elaborating luxurious exclusive wrist watches.
 Many people doubted the brand's success, because the watch market was overcrowded with famous Swiss brands. But e Grisogono company reached great success to the amusement of everybody.

 In 2000 the collection with the “Instrumento ¹1” model was created. 15 variants were considered for the choice of the dial. The material for the case was made of steel, rose and yellow gold, platinum or gold.
 The model is equipped with an automatic movement, the function of the second time zone, a square case and a guilloche dial. The crown is decorated with a black diamond.

 The company consolidated on the watch Olympus thanks to the “Instrumento Doppio” model, which has 2 separate watch movements and 3 dials. The watch is supplied with a fold-out system and the watch case has rather big dimensions. The central seconds, minute and hour hands, the big date indicator and the 3 chronographic meters  are situated on the front of the dial. On the back side (at the rotor and the hands self-rewind sector) there are a supplementation of the basic ETA caliber – the second watch module and the second time zone module. The women's  “Instrumentino ¹ 1” model with the second time zone function was also produced.
 The Instrumento Doppio and the women's Instrumentino ¹ 1 models were produced in 2002. The “Instrumento Doppio Tre” model with 3 time zone indicators was produced in 2003 in the quantity of 20 pieces. The model is made of white gold and incrusted with diamonds.
 De Grisogono watch workshops have 80 workers.
