The German Gorch Fock training ship was built in 1933 by the famous “Blohm & Voss” shipbuilding company in Hamburg (Germany) by the German fleet's order. The ship was anmed after the famous German author,  Johann Wilhelm Kinau, who signed his works by the pseudonym Gorch Fock.

The only ship from this series, that looks alike to Gorch Fock I and Gorch Fock II is the German fleet's training ship.
The Gorch Fock I vessel, produced by Blohm & Voss company, was sunk in the end of the Secind World War, but later it was restored and moved to USSR. The restored ship was renamed “Tovarisch”. But in 2003 the German non-profit “Tall-Ship Friends” organization bought the barque and gave it the old name – Gorch Fock I. Gorch Fock I has been placed as a floating museum at the haven of the German city  of Stralsund, which had been its initial port of commission. It's notable, that the barque was filmed in many motion pictures: “Maksimka” (1952), “The Scarlet Sails” (1961), “The Wind of «Nadezhda»” (1977), “The Rebellious Orion” (1979), “The House, That Swift Built” (1982) and many others.

The model's 47-mm diameter and 21,1 mm wide case is made of polished stainless steel. The engraved silver-plated dial is made of brass and supplied with big black Arabic digits. The engraving was made with the help of special equipment in correspondence with the old watchmaking traditions, providing pendular clocks' and chronometers' precision. The main dial is supplied with 2 sub-dials: the upper sub-dial, situated at the “12” position, indicates power reserve and the smaller one with the seconds hand is situated at the “6” position. The hour and minute hands are made of burnished steel and hand-polished. The dial is protected with a 1,6-mm sapphire crystal. The brown strap, made of calf skin, harmoniously combines with the white dial. The model is equipped with the manufacture Gorch Fock I movement with the diameter of 37 mm and the width of 4,4 mm. Its frequency is 18000 half-oscillations per hour, the power reserve is 50 hours.
